The issue of storing energy produced from a photovoltaic installation has recently become a hot topic. Installers are looking at existing proposals and looking around for new ones.
Below we present to you the solution we have selected - SolaX X-ESS G4.
SolaX inverters are a guarantee of quality confirmed by numerous certificates (including the most important one for compliance with PN-EN 50439, required in NC RfG), as well as numerous awards. In 2021, SolaX once again received the award given by EuPD Cert TOP BRAND for the best inverter manufacturer on the Polish market.
Let's move on to the devices. Most hybrid solutions available on the market are 1-phase. If you want to have a 3-phase system, you need to use 3 inverters (and 3 batteries sic!). The few inverters that are 3-phase require a lot of space (big inverter, huge batteries, meter, EPS circuit), wiring, and installation work. What if we enclose all these components in one box? That's the solution that SolaX came up with and offered the X-ESS G4 product, which includes:
► a three-phase X3 Hybrid G4 with a power output of 5-15kW;
► MATE Box - a box used to conveniently connect all the cabling together with a meter and emergency power switching system;
► Triple Power 3.0 kWh battery with LiFePO4 technology in the amount of 2-4 pcs. (6-12kWh) + BMS with a life of min 6000 cycles.
The G4 system is a complete, modular all-in-one kit. You get the full functionality of a hybrid system while maintaining the aesthetics and simplicity of installation. As a result, it was honored with a Red Dot Design Award for "combining future-oriented technologies for sustainable energy generation with a clever modular structure" (link). Thanks to the phase-to-phase balancing built into each SolaX inverter, we can enjoy, despite an asymmetrical load:
► 100% self-consumption;
► emergency power supply EPS (Emergency Power System) with full inverter power.
All are powered by the sun. There are minor limitations, so we can talk about truly high auto consumption along with energy security. Therefore, we can say that in summer the system is almost inexhaustible.
Finally, other advantages and features of the product are worth mentioning:
► the construction of the battery, which SolaX has provided for operation in a temperature range of -30 - 50 deg C and with an IP65 rating. To our knowledge, this is the only LiFePO4 battery that can be installed outdoors without voiding the 10-year warranty,
► quick and easy installation (30 minutes!),
► competitive price,
► clear monitoring system for the installation,
► ability to block energy export,
► the function of setting the system in Backup mode, which keeps the battery constantly charged in case of a power outage,
► ability to combine hybrid and on-grid inverters,
► The product is also available in a 1-phase version.
