Electric car subsidies and their impact on the EV charger market
The next edition of the programme to support the purchase, leasing and long-term rental of electric cars will start at the beginning of 2025. With a budget of PLN 1.6 billion and more affordable conditions, the electric vehicle market in Poland can expect dynamic growth. The expected changes to the ‘My Electryk’ programme are also a great opportunity to develop EV charging infrastructure, which is crucial for users of new electric cars.
Greto, as a Polish brand specialising in RES solutions, offers comprehensive solutions for EV users. We provide a wide range of modern and efficient EV chargers, suitable for both home installations and larger commercial projects.
Under the new subsidy scheme, the maximum purchase price of a vehicle eligible for support will be PLN 225,000 net, which could significantly increase interest in cheaper electric models. Greto, as an authorised distributor of EV chargers, meets these needs by offering equipment that meets the highest technical and environmental standards.
Financial support
The ‘My Electrician 2.0’ programme envisages subsidies of up to PLN 40,000 for the purchase of a new electric car. The National Fund reports that beneficiaries of the programme will be able to receive up to PLN 40,000 in subsidies for the purchase, leasing or long-term rental of a new electric car. We know that this level of subsidy is to include a bonus for scrapping an old combustion vehicle and will be granted in this amount if the applicant's income does not exceed PLN 135 thousand.
This is a great opportunity for beneficiaries to invest not only in a vehicle, but also in a reliable charging infrastructure. Greto particularly recommends fast and ultra-efficient chargers, which reduce charging times and are compatible with the latest car models.
Thanks to financial support and the increasing availability of infrastructure, electric cars are becoming more accessible to a wide range of users. We actively support this process by offering training, advice and technical support for installers. Cooperation with professional installation companies in Poland and Europe allows us to implement projects related to the development of electromobility quickly and efficiently.
The increased interest in electric vehicles is a challenge for the EV charger market. Greto, with five years of experience in the RES sector, proves that technology development and environmental care can go hand in hand.
