Will photovoltaics continue to be profitable?
One of the most important developments in the Polish PV market this year was the April change in the rules regarding the billing of energy obtained from photovoltaic installations. Under the "old rules" (net metering), an installation of up to 10kWp involved a 20% loss of energy as it passed through the power grid. In other words, if you stored 1000kWh in the power grid in the summer, you could collect 800kWh in the winter. Simple and efficient.
Under the new regulations (net-billing), the power utility will charge a set amount in our virtual wallet for each kWh sent, which it will reduce our energy bill. As of 11.07.2022, the rate is PLN 0.66 / kWh according to data from PSE which makes these values public:

When we apply this to the average price of electricity in Poland:

ACU as a ready-made solution
It turns out that the power industry will pay us PLN 0.66 for each kWh donated, and each kWh costs us an average of 0.66kWh, so the exchange ratio is:
1:1, not 1:0,8
Despite fears that photovoltaics would cease to be profitable after this year's changes, there are many indications that they will pay off even more.
Many people who made installations between the 3.0 and 4.0 editions of the "My Current" program did not take advantage of the subsidy, fearing the transition to net billing and the potential worsening of billing terms. Reality shows that there is nothing to fear. Switching to net-billing improves billing conditions and, in addition, you can receive the outstanding subsidy according to the terms and conditions:

In addition, it is possible to expand an already existing PV installation with an energy bank, regardless of your equipment with TSUN's ACU solution, and increase the amount of subsidy:

Advantages of ACU
With this solution and subsidy, you can add an energy bank to your PV installation almost for free and in a very simple way, with all its advantages:
-
Emergency power supply
-
Buying electricity when it's cheap and "selling" it when it's expensive:

Advantages of ACU part 2
-
Increase PV installation's resistance to outages due to high grid voltage
-
Increase self-consumption
